AstraZeneca has opened a new research and development site in South San Francisco. This project consolidated many AstraZeneca holdings, including Acerta Pharma, MedImmune, Pearl Therapeutics, and AstraZeneca’s TIDE unit. The new site’s facilities include building space, lab space, and open lab design. Decker Electric completed the design/build electrical, life safety and low voltage voice/data systems along with several base building core and shell upgrades. Decker General Foreman Tom Celillo won the AstraZeneca’s 2017 Global Engineering SHE award.
